9/10/2018 - Broiled steelhead trout for 7 minutes on one side, flipped it, and broiled 4 more minutes on the other side.
3/25/2019 - I broiled a pound of salmon 7 minutes on one side and 4 on the other. It was definitely done by then. I served it with rice, ginger carrots, and guacamole.
5/20/2023 - I had about 1 1/2 pound of salmon, which I cut in four parts and brushed with a seasoning mix that included 1/2 teaspoon each of terragon and dill. I broiled it on one side for 8 minutes and 4 on the second side. I served it with guacamole, boiled potatoes, and roasted asparagus with parmesan cream sauce.
5/4/2024 - I had about 2 pounds of salmon, which I cut in four parts and brushed with a seasoning mix of canola oil and a teaspoon of dill. I broiled it on one side for 8 minutes and 4 on the second side, and that was good. I served it with guacamole, boiled potatoes, and roasted asparagus.
8/24/2024 - I had 1.9 pounds of salmon and grilled it on charcoal. I cut it in half and brushed the halves with oil with 1 teaspoon each of dill weed and Mrs. Dash Original. One recipe I saw said I should grill the fish for 10 minutes for each inch of thickness.
7/3/2025 - I had about 1.3 pounds of salmon and grilled it on charcoal. I cut it in 6 pieces and brushed them with olive oil. I grilled them for 8 minutes on the first side and 2 minutes on the second. I served them with boiled potatoes, guacamole, leftover broccoli stir fry curry, and a green salad.
8/14/2025 - I had 1.2 lbs of frozen salmon from earlier in the year which I defrosted in the refrigerator for 24 hours. I planned to use the Weber, but it rained at 4 PM and so I used the George Forman grill rather than risk having another shower douse my coals. The instructions said to preheat the grill for 5 minutes and then grill 1-inch-thick filets for 3 minutes for medium done. I cut into the salmon after 3 1/2 minutes and it did not look done. I let it cook for another 3 minutes. I served it with guacamole.
3/22/2026 - I had 1.55 lbs of salmon and that was too much. Before cooking, I brushed it with olive oil and dill. I broiled it in the oven for 7 minutes on the first side and 5 minutes on the second side. I served it with guacamole, Buttery Garlic Green Beans , and Boiled Potatoes.
