Name: Spinach and Feta Cheese Burgers
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 lb ground pork
- 3 green onions, finely chopped
- 3 oz baby spinach, finely chopped
- 12 oz feta cheese crumbles
- 1 tablespoon Greek Seasoning
- 2 tablespoons water (to aid in combining ingredients)
- 6 brioche burger buns
- 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon Mayonnaise
Instructions:
- Preheat grill
- Combine beef, pork, onions, spinach, feta cheese, seasoning, and water in a large bowl,
and mix by hand. Be careful not to overwork the mixture.
- Hand patty the burgers into 1/3 pound to wind up with 6 large burgers
- Cook on the grill until thoroughly cooked, and the internal temperature
reaches 160º and the juices run clear.
- Serve on the buttered and grilled brioche style buns, and a very thin slice of red onion
and mayonnaise.
Yield: 6 burgers
