Name: Sautéed Green Beans with Garlic
Ingredients:
- 8oz green beans, trimmed
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil (or butter!)
- 2 garlic cloves, finely minced using a knife
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 pinch black pepper
Instructions:
- Bring a large saucepan of water to the boil with 1 teaspoon of salt.
- Add beans, cook for 4 minutes (they will turn bright green.)
- Drain, then rinse under cold tap water to cool.
- Shake off excess water.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
- Add green beans and garlic.
- Stir for 2 minutes until the garlic is golden and crispy.
- Add salt and pepper, then toss.
Serve warm!
Yield: 4 servings
Comments: 8/13/2025 - I followed the recipe, although I did not weigh
the green beans. I skipped the salt and pepper at the end.
