Name: Roasted Cabbage
Ingredients:
Instructions:
Comments: 12/9/2015 - It was good. I used 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper,
1 teaspoon of minced onion, and 1 teaspoon of garlic powder for the seasoning,
and only one lemon. It went well with Fettuccine with
Blue-Cheese-Artichoke Sauce .
10/25/2017 - I tried this with 0.7 lb broccoli. The result was not crisp and the sour flavor
from the juice of 1/2 lemon was very strong.
7/30/2018 - I used 1/2 head of cabbage, cut in two, 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder,
1/4 teaspoon of salt substitute, about 1/8 teaspoon of black pepper, and
a sprinkle of cayenne pepper. I did not have any lemon, but it was good.
5/20/2020 - I used 1/2 head of cabbage, sliced into 4 wedges. I combined 1 teaspoon of
garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, and 1/2 teaspoon salt substitute into the oil,
and then brushed that onto the cabbage. I roasted them at 500º, and they were nice and
crispy. I did not have lemon, so I squeezed 1/2 lime on them.
The pepper was a little too spicy for Gail.
7/30/2020 - I added 1/2 teaspoon of curry powder, but couldn't taste the difference.
11/2/2020 - I made it like on 5/20/2020, except I doubled the salt substitute
to 1 teaspoon and reduced the black pepper to 1/2 teaspoon. I did not have either lemon or
lime.
3/6/2021 - I roasted 1/2 head of red cabbage at 475º for 30 minutes. It came out
done and blackened. I had lemon juice but, by mistake, added it to the roasted potato instead
of the cabbage.
4/6/2024 - I had a small head of red cabbage. I used 1 teaspoon of garlic
powder, and roasted it in the toaster oven on aluminum foil. The toaster oven
timed out and may not have remained at full temperature. The result was blackened,
but not completely cooked.
