Comments: 5/3/2012 - This was time-consuming. Gail liked it.
1/7/2015 - The chopping took about 45 minutes before any cooking could start. The beans were tender after 25 minutes.
3/18/2017 - Again, the beans were tender after 25 minutes.
5/12/2019 - I substituted 1/2 teaspoon of powdered ginger for the fresh ginger. The cooking time - 25 minutes for the last step - was good.
