Yield: 8 - 10 servings

Comments: You can substitute maple syrup for the honey, but it will bring along its own maple flavor which might detract from those summery fruit salad vibes.
If you’re concerned about your chopped apples browning too much, try tossing them with a tablespoon of lemon juice and layering them under the rest of the fruit at the bottom of the bowl.
You could use whatever fresh, never frozen, fruit you want in this salad: blackberries, bananas, cherries, pineapple . . .

12/25/2022 - For the dressing, 1/2 a naval orange made the 1/4 cup of juice and I used the zest from 1/2 a lemon. I omitted the grapes and mango from the salad. I used only 1/2 a naval orange. The apples were Pink Lady, and I used juice from 1/2 lemon on them. The fruit filled the large, 2 liter measuring cup. It took just a little under an hour to prepare.
4/9/2023 - This was Easter at Lancasters. I used the honey, orange juice, zest from 1/2 lemon, 1 lb strawberries, 1 lb blueberries, 6 oz raspberries, 1 1/2 oranges with the wedges cut in quarters, 2 Fuji apples, chopped but not peeled, and 2 cups of grapes. I omitted the kiwis and mango. The result filled the mid-sized Rubbermaid box.
5/21/2023 - I made this for a UUCC potluck. I used honey, juice from 1/2 naval orange, 1 lb strawberries, 11 oz blueberries, 6 oz raspberries, 1/2 an orange with the wedges cut in quarters, 1 Pink Lady apple, and 2 kiwis. I substituted 1 tablespoon of lime juice for the lemon zest in the dressing.
