Name: Pudding Pie

Instructions:

Yield: 1 pie

Comments: Store in refrigerator. When putting the pie into the oven, first put it on a flat metal sheet to keep the pie shell from bending. The pan it comes in is flimsy.

10/10/2018 - I used two boxes of Jello chocolate fudge pudding mix and a Keebler shortbread pie crust. The pudding firmed up in only two minutes. I put a dozen or so York Mini mints in the crust and then poured the pudding over them.
11/17/2018 - I used two boxes of pistachio pudding mix, and they overflowed the store-bought pie crust. I put the excess in a small bowl. On-line recipes add crushed pineapple and cream cheese to the filling, and cover with cool whip.
2/1/2019 - I used chocolate cookie pie crust, two boxes of chocolate pudding mix, whole milk, and 1/2 cup of shredded coconut.
3/11/2019 - I used chocolate cookie pie crust, two boxes of Jello banana cream pudding mix, one mashed banana, and 3 3/4 cups of skim milk. It never solidified very well.
4/29/2019 - I used two boxes of Giant chocolate pudding mix and a Keebler shortbread pie crust.
12/15/2019 - I used a large box of chocolate pudding mix with a half cup of coconut and put it in a Honey Maid graham cracker crust.
6/14/2022 - I had a Giant-brand Pie Crust (made but not baked) that I put into a 9-inch metal pie pan. I baked it at 450 for 12 minutes, and it got darker than I expected. I probably should have stopped at 10 minutes. I used a box of chocolate pudding and a box of banana cream pudding for the filling. I overfilled the crust and put the excess in two small bowls. The pie pan was shallower than I expected. Maybe I should only use 3 cups of milk.
The box the crust came in suggests 1 cup of milk with a pint of softened ice cream. It also suggests a 1/4 teaspoon each of cinnamon and nutmeg, and topping it with whipped topping.
