Name: Crockpot Turkey Chili

Ingredients:

Instructions:

Yield: about 10 servings

Comments: When first I combined the ingredients, it looked dry but it became juicier as it cooked.
12/10/2016 - I used 2.6 pounds of ground turkey, a 4.5-oz can of chopped green chilies, and a 3.5-oz bar of 85% cacao chocolate. I substituted 1 teaspoon of hot sauce for the red pepper and regular diced tomatoes for the zesty variety. All the other ingredients were as given. It was good.
1/29/2017 - I browned the ground turkey and sautéd the onion and green pepper the previous evening, then started the crockpot at 6 AM for a noon meal. The chocolate bar did not break up well, but it melted OK when heated. I updated the recipe to add the chocolate bar and show the alternative use of hot sauce.
