This is the home that Carl Holm built on Passamani Road, a quarter mile north of his father's home. The view is from Passamani Road. You can see the collie, Boy, walking away from the camera in the lower left of the photo. The trees kept the house and front yard dark and damp. They were cut down when the addition was made to the left side of the house.
This building was originally intended to lived in temporarily while a bigger house was built next to it. Then it was intended to be converted into a garage. That never happened.
The bathroom was not finished before the first winter, so there was an outhouse behind the house.
This map shows about where the house is located. The town of Iron River is approximately 3.5 miles west. Before gentrification set in, Wildwood Lake was known as 28 Lake. The consolidated school and a small grocery store were located in Rogers Location.
