Terri Holm in 1958 sitting by Donald Kataja at the bridge over the Sturgeon River near what wsa then called Bacco Falls, but more recently has been labelled Canyon Falls. This bridge is near Alberta, Michigan, a little south of L’Anse. Our family often travelled to western Upper Peninsula locations with the Kataja family and with the Johnson and White families. Lucille Kataja and Ray Johnson were siblings, and the Whites were friends with all. Sometimes we would go to fish, sometimes to see the scenery, and often to do both as well as drink beer and play cards.

The two are sitting at a picnic table with the bridge supports in the background Terri is standing alone on the foundation of the bridge.
Dust and/or other blemishes have not been removed from thees versions of the images. The intensities have been stretched slightly and the edges sharpened.
