Gustav Longstrom was the son of Ottos sister Anna Maja Långström. He immigrated to America in 1893. Ottos wife Caroline and Gustavs wife Emelia are sisters.
Evidence that this photo was taken in August 1948 is that Victor sent his daughter Aurora a postcard from Tracy on 1948 Aug 20. Additional evidence is that Victor wrote in his memoir that he saw Otto in 1948 for the first time in 66 years. Why did Victor make this trip after so many years? He had retired from the mine so he had time to travel. He had a new wife to introduce to his relatives. Finally, Gustavs daughter Helen Longstrom Schumacher had died on 1948 Aug 15 so Victor might have gone for her funeral.
Here is Victors identification on the back of this photo. I translated this as Tracy. Uncle and aunt, cousin Gustav and his wife. His two daughters to the right and grandchildren in front.
