This is the headstone for Anna “Hechlar” Green in the Marengo City Cemetery in Illinois. Her actual maiden name was Hetzler. Apparently, her children misheard the name as Hechlar. She is buried here with two infant children: John who was born 14 Feb 1844 and died 31 Mar 1845; and Anna who was born 11 Oct 1848 and died 22 Jan 1850. Her daughter Elizabeth Green Kennedy is also buried there with her husband John Kennedy.
