Victor Holm labelled this photo Port Wing / Cares for the family. I think that is Victor sitting on the fender and his son Carl in the dark shirt. The tallest girl might be Aunt Aurora. I don't recognize the other people. The woman with her hand on the crank does not look like Frida. The black dog could be the Holm family dog named Nigger. The car appears to be a 1923 Ford Model T Touring. In her little memoir, Aurora Hovey wrote I will never for get the day [my father] came to take the family to our new home. He had a brand new 1923 Model T Ford with side curtains, running boards, luggage carrier, and we thought it was the most beautiful car in the world. Well, we all piled in...a big dog, four kids, and mother and dad. We had 200 miles to go, and it took us 12 hours to make that trip. Is this photo of that car? It appears to be the same year and model. However, there is no luggage carrier.
Scroll down to see a second image, that was sent me by Terri Holm. It appears to be the same car, but I dont recognize the faces of the two people in the car. However, the big, black family dog is present again, by the front wheel. This car has a trailer behind for the luggage.
